I love this recipe....rich red vine tomato's, fresh green basil and some good mozzarella cheese layered
with a drizzle of vinaigrette on top.
doesn't that sound so good.
A Caprese Salad is one of the simplest salads I know.
I think serving this dish in the summer months is the best time, it's the perfect season
It's important to use the freshest vine tomato's you can find.... A Farmers Market would be a good place to buy vine ripened juicy tomato's & fresh basil with very large leaves.
It's a perfect eating outside on your patio with your family idea.... A delicious Caprese Salad...there is no rules to assembling this dish..just layer your slices on top of each other on a plate anyway you want,
then drizzle some Balsamic Vinaigrette, or Olive oil and salt & pepper also makes for a tasty idea.
I like to sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top of mine...then serve.
