Entertaining the fun way...What about an effortless Pizza Party. Inviting your guest to a relaxing mood and good conversation can make for great night of fun. This pizza dough is so amazingly easy. It takes no time for the dough to rise and bake. I decided to go with the traditional Pepperoni Pizza..this is a favorite in our house. I like decorating my table for the occasion, add some colorful napkins and plates.. I would keep your drink menu simple too. Add a green salad with a vinaigrette. This makes for a simple party and allows you to enjoy the rest of your day. Homemade pizza with good friends makes me Happy!!
RECIPE...
1pkg Dry yeast
3/4 C plus 2T lukewarm water
2 3/4 C all purpose flour, plus 1/2 C for working
1t salt
1T extra-virgin olive-oil
In a bowl add the yeast and lukewarm water, let stand for 10 min. In another bowl add 2 3/4 cups of flour and the salt, make a mound, then a well to pour the yeast into. With a fork stir in a circular motion until it is all mixed. Take the rest of the flour and spread over your surface, take your dough out, knead it with the palms of your hand until the dough is smooth. In a clean bowl wipe the olive oil all around and put your dough into it. It needs to rise for about 1 hr. Cover with a moist towel. When the dough is ready make sure to have a little flour on your surface. Start in the middle of the dough pulling it out and making into a 12 inch pizza. Flip it a few times and then place it onto your pizza stone. I added the pizza sauce, you can buy some or make your own, pepperoni, olives and mozzarella cheese. Pizza always allows you to be creative, you can add whatever toppings you like. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 450 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into.
I hope you enjoy a evening with friends and give this recipe a try. Cheers!!
