CINNAMON-NUT BREAD

One bowl,one pan,and one hour-that's all it takes to craft a heavenly,  heartfelt, holiday gift.



1-1/3 C Sugar
1/2    C finely chopped toasted pecans
2       teaspoons ground cinnamon
2      C flour
1       teaspoon baking powder
1/2    t salt
1       egg
1       C milk
1/3    C vegetable oil
Preheat 350*F   9x5x3 loaf pan, set aside. In a small bowl ,stir together 1/3C sugar,nuts,and cinnamon.
In a large bowl, stir 1C sugar, flour, baking powder,and salt. Combine egg, milk, and oil and mix into the flour mixture( batter should be lumpy).
Spoon half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with half the nut mixture. Top with the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the nut mixture.  Bake in the preheated oven for 45 min. Cool on a rack. Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
